WHAT TO EXPECT IN YOUR ROLE AS AN INDUCTION COACH:

Commit to working with your assigned teacher for 2 years
Build a trusting relationship with your Participating Teacher
Meet a minimum of one hour a week to collaborate, design lessons, set goals, analyze student work/data, work on ILP, and complete all other requirements
Implement effective coaching strategies when reflecting with your Participating Teacher's progress in Induction
Attend all required FCSS Induction Meetings
Participate in triad meetings with Induction staff members at your site or FCSS
Complete monthly Collaboration Logs with your Participating Teacher and submit each month by the given due date
Reflect on your own practice as an effective mentor
Encourage and assist your assigned teacher to connect with and become part of the larger professional learning community. Make a difference in shaping and developing a teacher!

I have read and understand what to expect in my role as an Induction Coach and would like to participate in FCSS Teacher Induction.

I certify that I have completed at least three exemplary years of teaching as teacher of record.
I understand that I must successfully complete all of the requirements of the program by the due dates (Any concerns and/or missing requirements will be shared with my site administrator).
I understand that my Participating Teacher(s) must successfully complete all the requirements of the program within two years. If either myself, as Induction Coach, or my Participating Teacher(s), is dissatisfied with the match, we must notify the Induction Program within 30 days of the initial pairing.

*Submission of Induction Coach application materials does not signify that your application has been approved. The FCSS Induction Staff will review all materials and may request additional evidence before application approval (i.e. classroom observation, phone interview, etc.). Once reviewed and approved, you will receive an email confirming your acceptance as an Induction Coach for FCSS Teacher Induction.
